When you have a baby who's starting on solids and whose faucet's on because of theeting you can't have enough bibs. But why spend money on new bibs when you can make some from an old sweater?
All you need for this project is an old sweater, a bib to use as pattern, Velcro and about 10 minutes of your time.
You can make 4 bibs from a sweater: one from the front, one from the back and one from each sleeve. I cut my bibs slightly larger than the regular size because the more coverage the better. Most bibs I see in stores are so very cute but also so small, bibs' purpose is help the baby not get messy not to accessorize him.
If the fabric frays a seam finish may be needed. Stitch the Velcro and you're done!
And here you have 4 beautiful bibs, ready to protect your baby from getting messy and wet.
